shank diameter is already marked for each hss endmill , the skank dia on the hss isn't necessarily the same as the cutting dia. so check the info provided to be on the safe side
also thanks for the compliment , weve been busting our butts to find decent tools at a decent price to add to the site , so far i'm quite happy with the stuff , i'm beginning to look into higher end tooling as well , obviously the price will be up a fair bit more but it will add to the variety and give the customers a better chance to find exactly what they are looking for
Line 4 should that be SHANK or was your mind elswhere ?

I use laquer frequently, in particular final coats I use gloss as it has no addatives and consequently gives a harder finish. To bring the high sheen down I use a product called "wool wax" it is applied with 4 zeros steel wool and water then take a dry rag to clean the surface and dry it off .the product is made by behlen. It will give your projects a soft luster which I find attractive, you might give it a try.

    Hi all,
I am from Serbia, I just try CR8tracer and I love it.
Only think that is not good is, you cant save file as a dxf, but eps can.
After that I open the file in illustrator ans export as a dxf.Acad resize and explode...
    sheet cam for machining.

I just looked at the jpeg image of the dxf and the jpg looks like crap but the dxf looks ok. I should have sized it smaller.

Does anyone know what program I may use to turn some PTN files into DXF's? I picked a few free files up that are marketed for the compucarve cnc machines. I attached one for anyone who want to try.

Default help with DXF file - bad segment? old tractor

Trying to run this file on plasma cutter and when the cut path gets about 1/2 done, it stops and gives a "bad segment" error. Then we have to shut down pc and plasma table. Can you look at this file and see what needs to be cleaned up?

This file is part of a purchased CD from RedPup productions with other Farm and Tractor dxf files. Other files worked fine, not sure why this one does not.

Any help will be most appreciative!
    thank YOU!

    Default Tractor Fixup

    Hey Wattmetal,

I did not see too much wrong with the DXF, except that there were a lot of splines, which is one constant line that arcs and curves. The best way is to clean it up using arcs and lines. This process also makes you post process program a lot smaller. Splines use millions of points on a line, which in turn creates millions of lines, which in turn creates millions of lines in your program (one for each point). Arcs and lines use only one line of programming.

I hope this updated DXF works, Let us know if you have any more problems!

    Eric

    Default thanks!

Thanks! I will try to run this later today. Hopefully,it will work. I did notice that your file is 98.7 KB, whereas my file was 160.3KB - so maybe alot cleaner file to run.

    Again, THANKS!
