Do you have the DXF file that you could share?
I would like to try cutting one out of clear PLASTIC.

Dudes, I've been appreciating some of your work on here but many DXF files are not opening in AutoCAD.
Has anyone suggested a fix for this?
I would just like to take a little time and thank all for your help.
12 years ago I fell off of a 32 foot latter, landed on my back and spent a lot of time in a live in rehab unit, underwent about 8 operations and ended up in a power chair.
Today I am 73 and because of many wonderful people and over 1000 pm to many members I have a very nice CNC unit.
I was a custom cabnet maker and did hi-end remodel on baths and kithens.
Three years ago was the first time I even knew how to turn a computer on and did not know what a stepper motor or a DXF file was.
To start what some might saw, (a new life) at 70, is nuts) but it has change and help save my life. I am to undergo another operation on March the 27th. to help relieve the pain i have.
So again, thanks to all and I hope God will bless each of you as he has me.
Dan
This LINK will take you to a site to download Eiffel Tower DXF's.
Hi Guys
Can anybody point me in the direction of a programme that would help me do prismatic letters(pref free). I've had a few enquiries for them lately. I am talking with the guys at vectric but they cant give me an answer if it will work on my machine.
VCarve will easily do Prismatic lettering, so with that being said. What machine are you trying to import them to? Instead of asking Vetric directly you would be better off joining their free VCarve Forum and posting your questions there, as someone who does that sort of art work would be your best bet.
Hello Keekhauled,
The newest version of VCarvePro includes a Prism carving option and is planned to be released soon. Since you said you have contacted Vectric it sounds like you are on the right track.

Thanks for the swift response lads. The machine is SCM 48 NST and I'm running Alphacam V7. The guys at Vectric cant tell me if my post processor is compatible.

Guys (and gals)
I found this dxf to dwg converter. I have only tried it with one dxf file that did not open with autocad and it worked after the conversion.

It's a time limited program but may be just what is needed for some of you.
Here is a DXF - DWG converter that is free (up to 2006), A9Converter
BTW, you can't use the Inkscape DXF (default) extension for any CAD program. Try my plugin, then see If Acad will open the DXF created inside Inkscape.

I have been a silent observer and a fan for a while. But I need a little help from you guys. I'm looking for the state of Louisiana with a small star on the city of Baton Rouge in the dxf format. If anyone can, will be much appreciated. Thanks Topcat
