    this forum is great !
i was wondering if there might be another forum similar to do 3-d surfacing of some cool parts or designs.i just cut section of a human head into a block of aluminum in one of our haas mills.it came out great and everyone loved it.i have solidmodels of parts here at work but nothing cool.the human face i got was a demo included with mastercam.
    thanks!

Default New Panel for everyone to try!

Been feeling lazy lately, but decided it was time to add a new project for others to try. So here it is, seeing as Valentines Day is fast approaching and there are some of us that have to show something to their other half's. In concern of the expenses involved with building a CNC Router.
It's a panel with a Cupid in the center.

Thanks Ronald... Basically i need a fine tracing (vectors only) of this design... I want to make 3D relief out of it... I do have Vcarve Pro but it requires a lot of work in vector cleaning..
I don't know manual vector tracing as fast as the people in this forum..

No kidding, I've been at it since my last post. I've got a few other vectorization programs to try. If I can clean up the image first without all of the background texture it'll be a snap. That being said do you have a seperate copy of the leaves and the project outline. That would ideally be the easiest way to accomplish what it is that your trying do do.

I'm looking at the moment for an Acanthus Leaf Carving, I do know that Vcarve does have one available for free in the sample folder but you'd have to figure a way of importing it into VCarve at different angles.

Another bitmap, cleaner than the last one.

The bitmap is in the zip file below.

Thanks for your relpy. I think you will find that the model that you sent me is of a Gorilla. I have seen a picture of a human skeleton 3D puzzle and the one you sent does not appear to have as many ribs as the photo plus the arms seem to be too long.
    Many Thanks

If you go to the dinosaur skeleton link you will see a human cut out but it's a sale item in Europe. I have tried to find it and even buy it but no luck so far.
