Punching that hole would be a better choice. With material that thin you could mount up the punch & die in a drill press or milling machine, you wouldn't need a punch press.
Hello,
I'm looking for suggestions for drilling a 0.012" hole in 0.001" brass or SS. The stock is 0.375" diameter. I'm able to drill holes in brass with a circuit board drill in my Aciera high speed drill press but can't seem to eliminate the feathery burrs that result without a lot of tedious hand work Perhaps a different type of drill. Maybe SS would be better. Or maybe a reamer for the final diameter. And of course holding the part is a challenge. Does anyone do this consistently with success?
Thanks
