    Default Phenolic Table Patch

We recently had a fire on one of our machines. It burnt roughly a 2'x2' section of the phenolic matrix. We looked at replacing it but to buy the 52"x 63.5" x 2" thick was extremely expensive.

I was wondering if we plane out the bad section and pour a resin in there, then re-machine the matrix grid. Does anyone have any suggestion on what type of resin would hold best to the phenolic?

    Thanks

You have a CNC, cut a nice pocket, and inlay a piece of phenolic, and then resurface the area! Done!

Yeah, we ended up doing that on Monday. Worked great.
