Default Hooking 2 tubes on 1 PSU , possible?

    Hi.
I wonder is it is possible to connect two 40W tubes to one PSU rated for 40w ?

In theory if the amperes are allowing then it could be done, but in practice?

Crazy and prolly pointless stuff but I am interested in learning the possibilities and ramifications on such practices.

    Inputs are welcome.

DC PSU? Flowing gas tubes? You would get the potential voltage across both tubes, but the amperage would be half. So theoretically you would get 2 20W beams, but I don't think in practice it would work out that well. THey may not have enough snot to get inversion. If they are flowing gas, you could lower the tube pressure though, just not too far
