    Default Old ULS

What would you think a 1995 ULS 25ER is worth? Someone is selling one and I've considered it as a backup. Says it just had a new tube. Also, are parts and support still available, and will it run on XP?

    Default ULS 25 laser

I'll be watching to see what you find out here. I have a ULS 25PS dated Apr. 95. Uls says they dont support it anymore, and Synrad wont replace /. repair the tube for me. If that has a new tube ,I'd like to know where they got it.
It seems there should be some answer for these older machines.
See if it has a synrad tube and if Synrad will recharge it if needed.
    Goos luck.

I contacted a ULS dealer, and he told me that the parts including tube are very hard to find, and expensive (tube $2,700 and that's only 25 watts).

How hard could it be to hack a new tube into the design? The tubes are only getting smaller, and the interface hasn't changed (5V ttl). Mostly you would just need to design mounting brackets/spacers...

If I could find an old ULS near me going cheap, I would probably buy it and install a newer/smaller version of Synrad's CO2 lasers..
