Default Is my laser tube ok?

    Hello,
I have just received my new 80W CO2 laser cutter, but I think that something is not working properly; to cut a piece of 3mm acrylic I have to setup the machine to slow speed and full power. The current meter on the machine moves up to 10mA (i think it's a bit low, because following the manual it would be 25mA).
So I have taken a video of my tube working...please watch it and tell me if the tube is ok or not
    Thanks

I had the exact same problem when I got my laser. It turned out to be either the PCI driver card or a setting within the software. Your meter should and will read about 25ma when everything is working right. On mine, there is a setting when testing that tells the laser how much power to output. I think mine was set to 40 or something like that when I reset it to 100 and then reseated and reinstalled the PCI card everything sprang right to life.

    Thanks
    Mike

I think that it isn't a problem of the pci card, because when i do the test without the pci card connected the output of the laser is always 10mA I think it is a problem of the power supply...however can you tell me more about this setting?
