Laser cutting 10mm acetal/delrin

I have a small job that requires laser-cutting some gears out of 10mm acetal/delrin. The problem is, I'm calling around laser-cutting shops and for the most part, they refuse the job. It's mostly got to do with the thickness, but I did found a couple who haven't even heard of delrin, even though it was listed as a material they work with on their site. I also got couple quotes, but don't like the price.

The gears are about 50 to 150mm diameter, what is the best tolerance a skilled operator can produce at 10mm thickness, practically speaking?

You better go to waterjet service, not laser.

I did look into it and the accuracy seemed to be about the same generally speaking - 0.1 to 0.2mm. But as to this particular material and thickness, what's the advantage of the waterjet service?

I’d use a cnc router. Very accurate square sides
