RDWorks exporting .rd with wrong dimensions?

I have a Redsail x700 that I am attempting to use with RDWorks. I drew an array of 1/4" squares spaced 1/8" apart. I save to UDisk, load into the laser, and it cuts 7/16 squares spaced at 7/32. The scale is perfectly larger. I can't seem to find any settings on either the laser or RDWorks that indicates what could be causing this. What should I do to troubleshoot this?

Is this a new laser? You may need to re-configure the parameters in File | Vendor Settings.

I changed the step length but it still cuts the same size.

I just ran a test, a simple 50mm box. The actual cut was 84.6mm.

Changed Vendor Settings step length graph and measuring length to 50 and 84.6 respectively.

Saved a new file to my usb drive, and it cut exactly the same: 84.6mm.

Further inspection shows that RDWorks is exporting the exact same file regardless of Vendor Settings.

When you change the vender settings you have to write them to the laser.

Is there a way to do that via usb drive or must it be through a direct connection to the pc?

Do yourself a favor and save the current settings before making any changes so you can get back to the as-shipped settings if things go south.

Hook your computer up to the laser and then go into your vender settings on the computer read the parameters the save them. input the new parameters and write to the laser.
