Engraving machine for 17-4 and 416 sst

Can someone recommend me a machine that can engrave 17-4 and 416 sst? Ideally the machine would be desktop and a minimum workspace of 8x4x4. I need it to be able to engrave to about .02 deep into heat treated sst. I have a budget of 1500 and if that's not enough what would I need to spend?
