if the wires are good you need to get stronger plug..
that happens when the machine consume a current higher than what the plug can carry ..
more current more heat
I have a Gweike laser and the power plug housing has literally melted twice in the last week (see picture). Any ideas?

do you know what power the Laser cutter takes ?
does it have any mains outlets to power external devices like a water chiller and or extractor fan ??
its possible the combination of these is overloading the 10A mains inlet
John
PS
if your laser cutter / engraver has outlets like this :
with a 110V mains supply the total load must be limited to 1100W
if the laser cutter takes 300W , the total power that can be taken from the mains outlets
will be 800W (you may have to reduce this if the chiller and blower take a large start up current)

I will 3rd what the others have said. Don't power anything using the power outlets on the back of the machine itself.
