    Unhappy odd cutting issue....

machine 60 (50) watt red/black redsail clone, running rdworks.

most of the time, everything is fine....
Occasionally (and only with cutting oddly) it will start cutting serrated lines,
    EXAMPLE
I am cutting 30 little squares. the first 10 cut fine... then the laser will occasionally cut off and back on leaving small areas of no cut. and will carry on doing this. the ammeter and the laser both show dips in power, the laser power supply has a red light which shows when its firing, this blinks off too,
is not affected by engraving, and only happens occasionally...
it cuts off almost to its own beat ( like a heart beat) sometimes its a little quicker, sometimes slower, sometimes not at all..

    Any ideas?

    Update,
It appears to be power supply,
When machine first turns on power supply starts as normal (fan goes whrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
After some use (possibly when power supply gets warm)
    The fan starts going whrrrrr-whrrrrr-whrrrr
With momentary pauses, which coincide with the laser loosing g power momentarily.

But once it starts, the power supply continues doing this after the job is done,
If I flick the laser power button,
The fan goes back to normal momentarily before power goes off. And if I leave it 5 min and turn it in, it stays constant....

So.... I am thinking something is over heating prematurely or a capacitor is flaking out.....

    Anyone got any ideas?

plugged everything back in.... seems ok... problem has not reappeared ....

Check screw connections for being tight with a screw driver, loose plugs or plug in connections. R&R power supply.
