Looking to Buy a Thunderlaser or Bodor But Have DPI Question

Hi,

I will be placing an order for either a Thunderlaser or Bodor laser (more likely the Bodor due to pre-sales customer service).

Bodor are claiming a 4000 DPI 'Highest Scanning Precision', can anyone explain what exactly is meant by 'Highest Scanning Precision'

Other manufacturers are claiming 500-1200DPI for engraving so Bodors 4000DPI seems well beyond what other manufacturers state or have I misunderstood the term 'Highest Scanning Precision'.

Do not buy a Bodor Laser these machines are nice trashcans. I purchased one and not only is the service horrible they shipped the machine without testing it and it has a slew of dangerous issues. In short it does not work and they are not friendly with support.
