Default Z-axis Sensor problem - AMADA FO 3015

    Dear All,

We recently bought one 2nd hand AMADA FO 3015 ( Fanuc 160i L ) .....Installed the machine and powered up. Got the Laser power 3600+ ( mirror cleaning required though).
    Machine is equipped with HS-98 ( Amada HS-2000 board ) ......Z-axis calibration ( 8010 ) went through successfully.....in TRACE ON & TRACE OFF mode.

When actually...cutting starts ....the head does not detect the material ( SPC2.0) ......and roughly starts cutting 14-15 mm above the material.....sometimes head goes....in Z+ direction....and goes pass Z+ OT switch....giving alarm.

Cutting conditions are set correctly 1) Mtl = SPC ...2) Thk = 2.0 .....3) Head = 2 ......4) Nozzle Gap = 1.5 .......but still it starts cutting 14-15 mm above the material.

even we changed the material....3mm / 10 mm or so......but still the result is same......

Anyone has any solution or advise for this issue....or the calibration procedure for HS-2000 .......or any idea what is causing this.....or whats wrong ....

Please share your views, ideas, chk. points etc.

    thanks.

Swap the sensor head prob easiest thing to do. Next Short cable from head to HS-2007 (sensor control). Long cable from HS2007 box back. Just run it out side as test. Those parts I consider consumable and least expensive. Would not hurt to have on hand. Head, short cable, long cable. Email me if you need part numbers. take some pictures as well.

Height adjustment doesn't fix the problem?
