Default do all co2 lasers pulse when cutting

Hi all I’m having a problem with my home build 130w cnc laser.
When cutting 6mm mdf I have to cut very slowly to have a continuous cut,
If the speed is increased the part does not fall out and if you hold the would
Up to the light you can see hundreds of very small pin holes
It looks as if the laser is pulsing. I have checked the settings in laser cad
And the ppi box is not ticked.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I can cut 6 mm with my 40 watt machine, slowly and with almost full power but it gets it done. The glue in the plywood is the issue on how It cuts. Sometimes it varies a bit, sometimes depending on the glue it can not be cut without a lot more power. Try on some just solid wood about that same thickness and see what happens.

it has no problem cutting the wood its when i increase the speed instead of a constant cut its hundreds of tiny pin holes only visible if you
hold the wood up to the light thats what makes me think the laser is pulsing on and off.

Its a glass tube right? They are DC and really do not have the ability to pulse like a RF tube. I could very well be wrong. Try contacting the controller manufacturer and ask them.

What speeds and power are you using, increasing speed with out increasing power will do what your saying. I don't think its pulsing I think its not cutting completely thru. I cut 6mm BB with 65% power and 10 to 12 mmps on a 60 watt laser.
