Hi All,

I am sure this question has been asked before but none of my searches gave anything useful - if anyone can point me to a relevant thread that would be great.

I am running a generic Chinese laser - sold as 60W, has a 1000mm tube so probably 40-50W - had it for 18 months, great piece of kit, have made may thing on it.

I do quite a lot of cutting 3mm clear cast acrylic sheet and have never really got consistent cuts at speeds greater than 2mm/s. This means some of my cuts take hours to complete. I think that I am down on power. I think that when everything was new I could cut a little faster but no a huge difference. Laser alignment looks OK, mirrors and lens are clean.

What speed/power should I expect for these cuts and if I am down on power what is the troubshooting steps should I take?

Thanks

Chris
