    Default Rabbit Laser - 6040

Just got my laser, it was installed by Ray from Rabbit Laser. It is a great machine. I am taking it slow trying to figure things out and watching a lot of You Tube videos. One thing I want to do is laser photos in wood. Is Photoshop the best software to use to prepare the photo for RD Works?

    Thanks.

PhotoGrave should have been included with your machine. I use Photoshop and Corel but everything goes through PhotoGrave.

    Hope this helped some.

PhotoGrave and Corel Draw are two different programs each costs $300 - $400. I have purchased both, Once you learn Corel Draw you really dont need PhotoGrave.

So I received Photo Grav and it seems pretty good but, I notice on YouTube people are using Corel Draw or Photoshop to enhance the photos prior to importing into RD Works for engraving. Do you come straight out of Corel Draw into RD Works? Is Corel Draw better than Photoshop?

Corel Draw is more the standard for lasers, vinyl cutting and sign making. I am not familier with RD Works. How did Ray show you?

In Corel I either Export as a DXF or bitmap into my LaserCAD software which creates a file and downloads to the machine. I can also send directly from Corel Draw into the LaserCAD program.

Isn't RDWorks the control software that runs on lasers equipped with Ruida screens and motion control hardware?
