I want to ask if any of you came across this problem when cutting steel (mostly S235 and S355) with nitrogen on a Trumpf TruLaser, or any other laser machine.
The problem is, that the cutting process sometimes doesn't cut trough the whole material and continues to run, so the gas pressure sprays all the molten metal on top of the sheet. It happens randomly and I just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about it, because I can't find anything that would cover this issue.
Cutting problems are usually gas pressure, power, or focus.
If it's happening in the middle of a straight line cut (no turns) I would check first the lens quality. If all 3 other parameters are good and the lens is good, I would check the lanny valve screens. You might be getting fluctuation on your autolas mirror due to this.
