Default Need help with Laser Engraving Machine

    Hi Guys,
I am noob to the scene and recently bought a 100W Chinese Laser machine (25 x 13) for glass engraving. It has Reci Laser.

Here are some of my issues.
    1. When engraving glass - the frosting is not white enough.
    2. When engraving mirror - the frosting is not white enough.
    3. When engraving mirror - often I see blackness. I have tried cleaning these with water and cloth but without much luck.
    4. I am having to use power in excess of 75% to get any engraving on mirror and if I use a wet paper to get cleaner effect - then laser is non existent.
    5. The speed of the laser cannot be raised to more than 285 for a successful engraving. Max speed I can get is only 400 for your reference.

I have tried bitmap image, vector etc but with little luck. I can attach / send corel and rdl files if anyone wants to take a look at the same. I am using Corel X6 and RDWorks.

Thanks in advance and any help on above would be appreciated.

THe most important piece of information you can provide when asking questions about lasers is what type of laser do you have? Is it blue light or Co2?

You'll get the hang of it eventually.

Mirrors you want to reverse engrave .engrave the backside of the mirror removing the backing.
Glass I think your using to much power and not enough scan gap

Mirror - I am engraving from painted side (non reflective)

Can you recommend guidance power and gap settings? I chose these settings based on stimulation showing no lines / gaps in picture.

    Hi Ryadia,
Sorry but I miscalculated that everyone would know Reci as it's the most prominent laser brand from China (CO2 Laser).
