Talking New too lasers, was given something. Would like some help getting started!

    Hello,

So I just got handed a BWF5 - B&W Tek that is in great condition.

I was hoping to get some insight on what this thing could be capable of? I was hoping to attach it to a cnc and do engraving etching etc. I am new to lasers (I know this item is extremely dangerous) but could someone please let me know what kind of troubles to expect in converting this to a engraving machine? (i was hoping it could do leather, wood at least)
