Greetings to all,
i am about to buy a laser cutter/engraver that i want to cut and engrave mainly plywood 4mm.
I want to have as good as it can be the quality of the cutting leaving as less as burning at the sides.
i have concluded to these specifications:
table 1300x900mm
reci w6 130-150watt laser source
cw-5200 water cooler
panasonic servo motor
what do you think should be the rest components to make a good buy?
Ruida or Leetro controller? Also model?
I don't want any suggestions from sellers, only from buyers! Thanks.
Stay away from leetro sir buy anything else aside from the 6515/6525 leetro controller, unless you learn how to wash the circuit board with soap and water then I guess it`s OK, we have 2 units of leetro controlled laser machines, sometimes when it gets unstable I just wash it with soap and water then back again.
I have a Weike LC1390N 1300x900. Reci W4 100W (122W tube 80% max @ 24). Leetro 6515. CW5000 water cooler does a great job.
All this for 5500 shipped.
My only issues were fuse couldn't deal with blower and compressor and machine. So I put blower on a foot switch.
Key switch burnt out also. I had to re-wire to the other side of the switch. So, eventually I will have to replace it (probably).
Has cut for 6 months fine on 4'x8' sheets of tri-ply underlayment plywood 3/16" at 10mm/s.
Does that nice scroll saw plywood, 4mm at 20mm/s.
A higher volume compressed air would do better for eliminating the char, but will blow that 4mm around like crazy.
The little compressor that came with mine does fine, but there is a blackening. That goes away with a little sanding or paint.
