Please see attached image. We are trying to engrave text on a stainless steel plate and on certain characters there are inconsistencies in the way the engraving is occuring. We are using cermark to coat the stainless and then using a CAMBAM font the S, 2 and 6 have the biggest issues in my opinion.
We have a 100w Chinese engraver, we have the speed set to 30 and the power at 20. We use corel draw to create the text and then a plugin to feed that information into the machine.
Any suggestions on what to try to fix the quality issues?
I would test cut some basic shapes in a couple materials. Is it code or material or the machine? For code create a circle and square right out of cambam.
We normally use wood, circles and squares do fine, also text does fine on wood. We dont have these issues on anything other than these plates but we never engrave on metal.
