Can I engrave black plexiglass with a 3W Chinese engraver?

Hey guys, new here

Is it possible to do this kind of stuff with a 3W Chinese engraver?
I'm looking to do this white engraving on black shiny plexiglass for photos with many little details.
Is that something that will require a bada$$ co2 cutter with air blowing on the cut and stuff?

Also, it may sound dumb (maybe because it is dumb) but I read that you can't cut clear plexiglass with those low wattage lasers (no matter how many passes), but will adding a black background help? (on top or underneath)
