Do laser engraving software programs export Gcode for Mach 3
Hey Guys,
I built a CNC router table and recently attached one of those L-Cheapo lasers to it to mess around with. I'm using mastercam to create tool paths for some vector designs and now i'm looking into doing more detailed artwork and I don't have mastercam ART. Ive been seeing lots of tutorials where the laser artwork is run from Corel Draw or other laser software. Because I just attached the laser to my router I only know how to control my machine using Mach 3.
So my question is this- Do the engraving programs output NC files or Gcode that I can plug into Mach 3 and control my machine from there? It seems as if the laser software for cutters that Im finding information on are using their own embedded CAM program to control the machine movement like a regular printer.
Any help or explanation would be greatly appriciated.
