Anyone built High power laser cutting machine with power 1000+ watts?

Hi All,

I am a newbie and very much interested in building my own CNC laser cutting machine.

Several DIY laser cutting machine out there with lower laser power, most of them are for either for engraving or soft materials like acrylic, paper, cloth etc.

But, I am planning to build DIY laser cutting machine which should cut at least 0.5" steel any other metal plate.

Has anyone successfully built high power laser cutting machine above 1kW power? if yes, can anyone provide me a link for the project or email ID so that i can get some clarification on the same?

From several months i am thinking to build my own high power laser cutting machine but couldn't find any info in the internet.

Appreciate a lot if someone can direct me to the right direction or opinions on building own high power laser cutting machine.

Do You have any idea of hi-power laser costs ?
Do you have any idea of needed power supplies and costs ?
I.e. can you provide a dedicated 10 kW - 20 kW line to the machine ?

It´s relatively easy to make one.

However, the scale of your budget should be gaged first, ...
