Default fiber laser suddenly lost engraving power

    Hi all.

I have a 30w fiber laser (from Laserstar). I am engraving steel and aluminum. The machine was running fine yesterday, then I stepped away and when I came back it was as if suddenly the power was turned almost all the way down. The machine is still tracing the art, but with almost no power.

    - I've experimented with changing various power settings, no luck.
    - I've put the laser on continuous cut mode and played with height from material, and it is not behaving better at any focal length.
    - I've checked the mirrors and lenses and all are in good shape.
    - All cables are plugged in and undamaged

Anyone have any ideas on what I can try to check next, or what my problem might be?

    Thanks!
    - Jay

Just an update in case anyone is searching, and comes across this in the future. Turns out the optic cable had been kinked, but looked ok visually. Sent machine back and Laserstar repaired it.
