X Axis

Hi all
I was in the process of beam alignment and the x axis decided to quit working so I tried moving it by hand and when I do it hard to move and it makes kind of a grinding noise. I'm thinking the x axis motor may be dead, any thoughts on this? I also noticed the x axis driver has a green light glowing and a red light blinking on it, could this mean the driver is dead? Any help on this would be so appreciated!

I would get a Ohms meter and check to see if the motor is Done. You should also be able to find out what the Blinking light is about, I would check the company for an error listing.
