So far as I know, only the beta testers have to comply with NDAs and the pre-release users are free to say whatever they want, though I don't think that they are allowed to take the units apart to see what is inside. A couple of the more prolific pre-release users have not been shy about making their wishes know about features they think are lacking so I'm comfortable taking them at their word.
the prerelease units are not a production units and have to be shipped back when they start shipping the production units out so they in turn are beta units. How many production units have been shipped
Does anyone had a chance to try the new MUSE from FSLaser?
https://fslaser.com/Muse
It would funny if the Chinese clone machines reach the market before GF because of their incompetent development planning and endless delays.
I think the MUSE is Chinese made with their name on it.
Many if not all of the parts in the GF are Chinese made as well.
Where did I claim that? At most, I've said that I *think* they'll ship production units. And, for the record, at least 8 people have admitted to having pre-release Glowforges. There are plenty of known faults to find with the GF - no need to make incorrect statements about them.
Seriously people $6000 for a GF Pro, for that kind of money you can buy a much better REAL laser engraver, Bigger, Safer faster.more powerful , USA support and parts if needed, and you can have it in a couple days not a year or more. You all think this GF is the Godsend of lasers. Its NOT Just a cheap piece of plastic with a bunch of cheap Chinese parts, assembled here so they can say American made.Man the Guy DS is a great BS artist.I hope you don't burn your homes down.
Most of the people that got in early bought them for $1995.
Now there is Mr Beam II laser cutter shipping also that uses the camera idea aswell. Its around
$2000 for it. Mr Beam Online Shop - Mr Beam II pre-sale with 20% discount (estimated delivery August 2017)
I think there is going to be many of the hobby laser cutters to hit the market this year.

Not even the USA stuff is American made. you know that, But it might be easier to get parts from the USA companies. Spectrum has Chinese parts and many others as well.
Everyone needs to take a night class of Chinese to speak to the tech support and read manuals from some companies. I think Glowforge will get all the bugs out and be ahead of
all of them. They have already out sold all the other companies and when all those people get their there will be lots of help between users like on inventables products.
They may have out sold have they out delivered
