Default help identifying DSP controller & finding new handset

    Hi there

Could anyone please help me to identify this controller.

I am trying to restore a machine to working order & it is missing the handset that attaches to this. The serial connector just goes to a cutoff piece of cable.
Also I will need to try & find some software to drive this. Does any one have any idea where I might find this.

I was wondering if it would be better just to get a new one, however I would like to keep most of the breakout circuitry if possible as it all seems to be working.
The machine powers up & starts moving to the home position.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Alex

    Alex,

Looks the same as a Vectorsoft unit, there is a good chance they are out of business.

Well I wasn't able to find anything on the internet about Vectorsoft. (It definately looks like the same unit.)

Does any-one have any sugestions about what would be the best way to go with this.

    Thanks
    Alex

    Alex,

Looks like its time to find a replacement controller, such as Ethernet Smoothstepper and Mach3.
