proma THC SD with a chinese TB6560 board

Hello,

I am trying to get the proma THC SD to work with a cheap chinese 3 axis TB 6560 board (yes I know )
Actually I ordered a proma THC but got the SD version.
Now since I don´t get any feedback from proma I´ll try my best here:

Can I wire this directly from the LPT?



As in this description it connects from a CNC Board to a Z-Motor driver. This doesn´t make much sense to me as the CNC board would be the Z-driver already ?
So can I use the Step/Dir pins from the LPT to connect to the proma and go the driver board then ?
Like: LPT -> proma -> TB6560 -> Motor ?

This doesn´t make much sense to me as the CNC board would be the Z-driver already ?

It's because you got the wrong model if you want the software to move the Z for THC, I have no idea how the SD lets the control software know its moved Z instead of the software. With no bidirectional communication to the software it operates as a quasi-stand alone THC but it still relies on the software to do things like touch -off , raise to rapid height , Torch on , etc. I gather your goal is to do this build on an absolute shoestring. The good thing is you are getting a free eduction about things that either won't work or will take a lot of time to get a marginal result.

Hi i have the same setup im trying to get hooked up. I'm unsure of which pins to use or hook up the proma the for on my tb6560 board. Where u able to get it working

I haven´t made any progress on the machine for quite a time due to lack of time, however I exchanged the proma to the older non-SD version and I believe the setup with that isn´t too difficult.
I mounted it to the converter and wired it to +/- of the converter so far. The control wires should go to the end / home switch connector of the TB6560 if I am right, (the Proma diagram doesn´t make much sense to me).
The rest is set up in mach3 then.
