Default Less expensive DIY plasma CNC option than Precision Plasma?

Any recommendations for the next best thing to the kit from Precision? The gantry is a bit pricey. Yeah, I know, the Precision is top-notch, but I'm trying to build one for a non-profit.

    Thanks!

Look at stick building your own gantry using some of the linear components from CNCRouterParts.com. Things like the belt reduction units , bearing plates/carriages. rack and mounting plates .

I bought a Saturn machine from Fineline Automation and installed my own electronics and set it up for plasma. I'm very happy with it and couldn't find a better setup for the money. Not sure exactly what you are looking for though so they may or may not fit your needs. They do also sell kits and have a sub section here on the forum. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/fineline-automation/

Fine line gets most or all of their components from CNCRouterParts. CNCRP has kits and even linear components to easily build your own table. While they (and Fineline) specialize in router tables if you plan correctly you can transition to plasma with the right control electronics and Z axis.
