Default Upgrading to Pilot Arc Torch

HI guys. I've read online that all you need to do to fit a pilot arc torch to a non pilot arc plasma machine is to attach the Pilot arc wire on the torch to ground. Which I assume means the earth clamp on the plasma machine.

I want to change out my black Thermodynamics PCH/35 torch (black body) for a Pilot Arc Trafimet CB50 torch (Red body with guts straightened to become a machine torch) in the pic below.

Feedback and advice would be appreciated.

Hey rod, just came across your post and I was curious if you were able to make this work? I currently have a Lotos LTP6000 and was considering disabling the high frequency start and switching the torch to the trafimet. I'm currently still planning the buildand haven't budgeted for a whole new machine.

No this original project kinda stalled and when I revisited it, I ended up buying an Everlast which comes with a pilot arc torch but I upgraded to a machine torch for the Everlast.

Ok, no worries, thanks for the info though. I've also been thinking of going with the everlast. Just going to have to save a little more. Thanks!
