Ok Billy, now your rubbing salt in the wounds. Mines still sitting in a truck in Jackson. I could be there in 2 hours if I knew where. Tommorow is free then I am tied up the rest of the week. Probably won't have time to crate it much less cut something with it.

Lol sorry diver, heck I wasn't even trying to sell one bout outta scrap iron had just enuff material to cut it out tonight so I can give it to the guy tommorow . Got off work and went to my shop changed out 1/4" material to 10 gauge and fired up machine and made a new tool for 10 ga. Then cut it out and back in house in less than 30 min . Now that was quick

I know, thats whats really killing me, have goofed off around the house for a week and now all the work comes right as they should deliver it. It might have to sit in the box for a week or so, but I'm sure the wife will be telling me it's late, it will still be there tomorrow, and all those things cause I'll be out in the shop at all hours of the night. Well its great you are already selling stuff. Nice to know it can start making money quickly to rebuild the bank account after taking a big hit. Keep it up Billy, it might be a race between me and Allykat on who get theirs up and going first.

It's like we're kids all over again waiting for our toys impatiently.Except the toy is so much more expensive.

Billy when you say you made a new tool to cut a certain gauge, what kind of tool are you talking about?

Check this out guys,my buddy drew up a wheel center for when we finish hooking up the mill.I just gave him the bolt pattern and center bore specs. The actual spoke design he did on his own.

YEP, just like kids. The tool he is talking about is in sheet cam. You make a file called a tool that has all the cut settings and feed rates for that paticulare metal and thickness.

Alleykat when you change thickness of material you have to set up cut height, feedrate, kerf width and so on in sheet cam, that way the torch knows how high above the material to start. You wouldn't want to cut 1/4" with a tool that is for 12 ga. Cutting height would be too close to material. Your freind looks like he knows what he's doing, you've got one up on me and diver. Makes me unsure of what its gonna do,I sure don't want it plunging into material and damaging something because i typed in the wrong cut height or something else. The TD book shows all of those settings for different types of material. Maybe i explained it well enough for ya.

Oh ok by tool it sounded to me like you were making some kind of fixture to hold the different thickness.

Well fantastic dude at least it found its home. Now then to find time to bring it up and running. As much practice as you've had with software you'll be up and cutting in no time
