    Default pilot arc ignition problem

    Hello,

I am having a problem with my Thermal Dynamics auto-cut 100 plasma cutter during the initial spark igniton. I get a spark, but do not get igniton. I have changed the consumables out many times, so I am confident this is not the issue. The problem also seems to be more prevalent with carbon steel than stainless. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Tyson

This may be a silly question but have you checked the workclamp connections? Do you clamp to the workpiece itself or just the table? Is your shop air nice and dry?

Did it ever work right? If so what has changed?

What model is your machine, cutmaster 151 per chance?
If so I have a LOT of experience with these kind of issues.

Our machine is a C&G systems aviator XLT plasma table with a Thermal Dynamics AUTO CUT 100 plasma system. I am concerned that moisture could be in the air line from the shop compressor. Right now we have a Norgren regulator with filter, what else do you reccomend to further reduce the air moisture.

    Thank You
