Hi Joe
there is a problem with the link to the images to the manual
John
I have a small CNC machine made by Zenbot in the US, it has a Mechatronics 3 Axis controller and workss fine.
I would like to add a touch plate to the system but I'm not sure how to wire it. I have the manual for the controller but it mentions not to attach the ground wire to the wrong connector, which has me puzzled.
I've attached two images from the manual and I would be grateful if anyone has an idea where to attach the ground for the touch plate. I was thinking of using pin 15 for the positive side.
Thanks in advance,
Joe.

Hi John,
Sorry about that I checked them after uploading the thread and they worked fine. Not sure what's going on here as they still load up fine for me.
I've tried as an attachment, see it that works.. thanks for the quick reply.

Do you have a Gecko G540 in your controller chassis?
Jeff...
Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
Hi Jeff,
No, it's a Mechatronics 3 Axis controller. I've written to the supplier and maker of the CNC machine but didn't get a reply. So I assume he doesn't know. The layout is shown in the two images on my second post.
Hi all,
Firstly thank you to those who tried to help.
In the end I bit the bullet and connected a wire to pin 15 and another to the Parallel port ground. I added a script into the Mach3 probe button that I found on line, and it all works perfectly.
Joe.
