Mach3 breakout from eBay, no laptop parallel port
I already have a Arduino (GRBL) based controller, but i bought a Mach3 compatible kit from eBay ( 5Axis CNC Breakout Board Set + Display + KeyPad For MACH3 CNC Control Software | eBay ) to evaluate while i build my CNC router. it only occurred to me after i bought it, my laptop does not have a parallel port. so my question is, will Mach3 run the hardware if i use a USB to Parallel Port converter?

ok, last question (for now). if i decide to switch over to LinuxCNC, would it work on that? i don't see anything that jumps out at me that it will in the hardware list.

No, it won't.
It only works with Mach3/4 or UCCNC.
