I never got around to hooking up my limit switches, but my plan is to have one home switch for each axis and gang all the limit switches together.
The limit switches are further back from the home switch and indicate an "out of range" condition. It really doesn't matter if the error is in the X, Y, or Z axis. It indicates that something has gone wrong, such as missing steps and you want to halt the program.
Steve
what software and controller are u using and did u figure out how to get this done? i want to get a UC400ETH connected to an Leadshine MX4660 and am also wondering how to get this done.
With uc400 is ok , u can use same switch for home and for limits , u nned to activate soft limits , and u need only 3 switches , annd all go smooth and easy.
