Default Help with power supply please!

    Hi all,

Been a while since I last posted but I'm still plodding along making
My CNC Machining Centre (Over a year later). Hope to finish in the next couple off months and I'll post what iv done.

    Anyway my question:

Please can someone please advise me on the best route to reduce the amount off plugs I have?
I have 5 plugs that I would like to hard wire to some sort off power supply so I only have 1 plug.

They are all 240v. I have 1 for computer, one for the monitor, one for the ac/dc power supply, one for spindle, and one for coolant pump.

I have searched google but I couldn't find anything, not because it isn't there I'm sure. But not knowing what to search?

Any help would be much appreciated as always

    Thanks Matt.

For my setup I use a server rack power rail similar to the one attached for the very reason that one plug turns everything off. They're available off Ebay dirt cheap, or if you have a mate in IT, he should be able to get you a couple for free.

You could even re-terminate the plugs into IEC plugs and use a rail that has inbuilt IEC clips for a really firm grip that won't vibrate out.

    cheers, Ian

    .
It is called an Electrical Enclosure with a single disconnect.

This is how it is normally done to centralize all the electrical and electronics.
    Everything is hard wired in.
With individual fuse supplys to each function.
Not only is it much neater, but electrically efficient in reducing noise and to centralize a ground system.

Brilliant, thank you for the replies. That has given me a couple off options.
I will look into both now and buy some parts.

    Thanks again

    Matt.
