Transformer Question

OK here goes....

Wiring two transformers in parrallel gives you double the amperage.

Wiring two transformers in series gives you double the voltage.

Would these two statements be correct?

Could you wire more than two together?

Does wiring them like this stress the tranformers more than if just on was used.
