Need help on buying CNC machine

Hello,

I am looking to get a new CNC machine. Looking on being able to work with wood turning and looking at about 18x40 or 18x48, as long as I am able tor turn 32" between centers. Geck 540 controller.
I need a 4th axis. I have the spindle already, a Tekno 3140-C.
Any suggestions please? I am even willing to work with somebody smaller that could build me something similar.

Are you talking about a lathe or a router? Wood turning is done with a lathe, although you can make similar-looking parts using a 4th axis on a router. How big a diameter did you want on those 32" pieces?

I'm not sure what you're looking at there, but if it's set up like a conventional router, with the 4th axis assembly mounted on the bed, then the largest piece you'll be able to cut to the middle of will be about 5" in diameter, since the tool will stick out 2.5" and it needs some clearance. But that should be fine for pool cues.

I'm not sure what you're looking at there, but if it's set up like a conventional router, with the 4th axis assembly mounted on the bed, then the largest piece you'll be able to cut to the middle of will be about 5" in diameter, since the tool will stick out 2.5" and it needs some clearance. But that should be fine for pool cues.

I cut usually 1.5" from square to round, sometimes 2" square and about 30 to 31" long. Finished size is about 0.845" to 1.250"
