Good afternoon all,

I am converting a small CNC router to a 3D printer. I have a good X, Y, Z stage with a capacity of 14" x 8" x 6" that was used for a small CNC router.

I would like to convert this to a 3D printer.

What I want to know is what I need in the form of: Control software, Control Hardware, Extruder, Hot End, etc. to make this machine a good 3D printer.

From what I can tell, based on reading the forums here and elsewhere, the "sky is the limit" however, I it seems few are willing to provide sources or suppliers of the items needed.

I have been around CNC machine my whole life, and am comfortable with most things electronically controlled. I am looking for recomendations for building a high-quality, reliable 3D printer.

As for materials to print with, I am all ears as well, I am open to options and not restricted at all by pre-existing opinions etc.

Thanks in advance for any and all guidence!

Chris D.
