I want to connect a cooling fan's ground terminal to the e-stop pin of the G540 so when the driver is out of fault (well, at least e-stop in 'ready' position) the cooling fan will be active. The fan is 12vDC 330ma running off a dedicated PSU with a shared ground with the G540's PSU. I just want to make sure the e-stop pin is protected in a way this will not harm the electronics. tyty

| Good solution. My e-switch is double pole but each pole is C-NC or C-NO. ...Just rechecked the link and it's the same config as mine so in that case the other pole would break the connection when in 'ready' position. Now, I can use a relay to flipflop the connection, unfortunately all my relays are 5v and I don't have the proper power resistor to power them from a 12v source. I guess I can use a automotive relay, they should be only about a few dollars found anywhere really. But, I perfer the simplest solution at the moment. Thanks.
