How to wire G203v disable connection with BB Estop circuit

I am wiring my Estop. I would like to incorporate the drive disable feature on my Gecko G203v. I uploaded a image of the my proposed wiring layout. Can somebody please tell me if this is correct. Drive disable pin needs go to ground when Estop is pressed.

Any information would be gratefully received

I can't really tell what you have going on there.

Does the 203v need 5v continuously applied, or just until the fault clears? I only know the 320's, and you only need to apply 5v for a few seconds.

I think your circuit will just stop supplying 5v when you hit the estop, not actually connect pin 5 to ground. I could be wrong though.

Here an extract from the manual:

    TERMINAL 7
    Disable
This terminal will force the winding currents to zero when shorted to ground (TERMINAL 12).

    TERMINAL 8
    Direction
Connect the DIRECTION signal to this terminal.

    TERMINAL 9
    Step
Connect the STEP signal to this terminal.

    TERMINAL 10
    Common
Connect the controller’s GROUND to this terminal.

    TERMINAL 11
    Current Set
Connect one end of your current set resistor to this terminal.

    TERMINAL 12
    Current Set
Connect the other end of your current set resistor to this terminal.

What does it mean by terminal 12 at the end of the statement?

Do I need some basic circuit with a relay so when the estop is triggered it switches terminal 7 to ground?

    Any information would gratefully received

Terminals 11 and 12 are for the current set resistor only. One lead goes on 11, the other goes on 12.

Your DISABLE wiring looks correct. According to the G203V Installation Instructions document the EN pin requires 5V to enable it, as does the DISABLE input, and BOB INPUT pin 10. The E-stop switch and the external switch is enabling them by applying 5V if they are closed. The Estop switch is NC, but the external switch could be an NC or a toggle switch depending on how the operator wants to use it at a remote location. Maybe it is considered a safety disable switch that used to prevent someone from turning the Estop on at the machine. It could also be a second Estop switch and either one can disable the machine, both have to be on for the machine to run.

If BOB INPUT pin 10 goes low on command from Mach3, so does EN and DISABLE only if both of the switches are closed.

Maybe someone else will confirm what I think is happening.

Edit - G203V pin 12 may actually be "ground" (more likely is the same level as the COM pin as set by the jumper on the BOB)
