| My initial CNC conversion will only need 3 axes, though I expect to add a 4th axis (rotary table) later. In the mean time the 4th driver on my G540 will go unused. I will be covering the connector to protect it from dust/debris, but I just thought I'd ask if there is any reason to give it a 0Ω current-set resistor (to set the drive current to 0A)? Since nothing I've seen says this necessary, I'm guessing I should just leave the current resistor as an open circuit. It would be great if the instructions specifically addressed what to (not) do with any unused outputs. Cheers, - Dean |
