I am in the process of converting an old cnc router that was running a Fanuc 5M to a modern controller. What I need is a pinout and any info on the encoder for the 5N-2000M servo motor so I can start testing them with the G320. I guess it would be wise to ask if they can even be used with the G320. Im not even sure what voltage they operate at. If they cant be used is there an encoder that can be easily fitted to these motors? I have access to machines so I know I can fab something to make a encoder fit if necessary but I would like to go with what I have as much as possible. The encoder has 10 wires + the shield ground that feeds into the Fanuc via a Honda connector. There are 5 white wires and one wire of each color: red, black, blue, yellow, green. I have attached pictures of the item in question. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and the router I am converting.... |
