Hi, I have 3 G203V, a KL-6515, a C11 BOB and 3 640oz-inch motors with 8 wires each one...I am in Europe(220V) Not forget to inform you that I am almost newbie in electronics wirings so if you could say it simply I would be grateful... Also, I would like to exploit all the capabilities of the C11 like e-stop, limit switches etc as they are all mentioned in this page... Until now I figured out some things but I have some questions too: 1) How could I supply all the stuff(drives,fans,C11 etc) with voltage when the KL-6515 has only 3 voltage outputs? 2) My motors will need 43.85V (got it from 32 * (√2.2mH inductance in parallel mode) type) and KL-6515 output 65V so should I step the 65V down to 45.83V and then connect it to G203's terminal 2? What should I do also with ground connections? 3) What wiring in gauge should I use to my connections? between C11 and G203s? 4) Could you explain all the C11 connections that I should make? 5) Will I need a multimeter for this procedure? 6) Where and how much power switches will I need?I currently bought one for main voltage KL-6515 input... Please, if there is someone that made or know about these connections, tell me the right way to do it... Thanks in advance, Kostas. |

Firstly, your math is wrong. Those motors' max voltage is 48V--NOT 43.85V. Running them at 17V overvoltage will cook them for sure. There are several things you could do, including removing turns from PSU transformer, but I would recommend that you contact John at Keling and negotiate a swap for a KL5020. With all motors connected, that will output around 48V. sale@Kelinginc.net You will need a separate 220V PSU to power the C11 with 5 and 12V--and that should also run the fans. A multimeter is always handy to have. Too bad you can't just pick up the excellent little $3 one from Harbor Freight. For the motor cables, do not use higher gauge than 20. That size is good for 6 ft. cables. The longer the cable, the smaller the gauge number required. Keling C11 manual: www.http://kelinginc.net/C11Manual.pdf I can't tell if you have the C11G BOB, which is made specifically for Geckos. | Hi, thanks for your replies... Reamer: What power supply do you suggest to get for power the C11 with 5 and 12V--and run the fans? Do you mean something like the KL-10-5 5V/2A $9.95 110V/220V, 50/60Hz in http://www.kelinginc.net/SwitchingPowerSupply.html? Could I get it from local store here or for compatibility reasons only from John? What do you mean by "higher gauge than 20"?22 for example or 18 taking into consideration the actual diameter size....? Finally, how could I remove turns from PSU transformer in the rare case that I will decide so? Thanks again, Kostas. |

| The larger the gauge, the smaller the wire--and the fewer Amps it can carry. The C11 requires 5V at 2A. Your 6515 isn't going to power it anyway, with only ONE Amp. You can find many plug in type small power supplies like this one: https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.a...tname=electric There are threads here about removing turns to detune a transformer, but I still think your best bet is to trade it in. John may have ideas for your 5 & 12V PSUs also. CR. |

| Hi, So according to your opinion, I should also buy also two more power supplies except from KL-5020 exchange: a 12V and a 5V power supply, right? Reamer could you please pm your email so as i can ask you if I have any question...?I am a beginner in this and have not any experience... Thanks again, Kostas |

You will do better asking your questions here, where there are so many smart & experienced people. No ONE person can always have the answers you need. CR. |

| For the time being you are the one and ger21 is thew other one that expressed their opinions..From my side it is difficult to make up my mind due to lack of experience and for this I am based on the first person replies... So, the only sure thing about it is that it could be better to replace the KL6515 with KL5020,right? Kostas. |

| Well it's only my opinion, but yes, that is the way I would go. John is a good guy and has been known to make such exchanges before. I would also have gone with the PMDX-132 which needs few connections, and has its own PSU: http://www.pmdx.com/PMDX-132 But that ship has sailed. What are you CNCing? CR. |
