In the attached electrical schematic... ![]() You can see that I'm using something similar to the start/stop/monitor circuit Marriss has toward the end of the G320 manual. The start/stop part works fine, but I have a problem with the "monitor" portion, in this case relay 44CR. This is a solid state relay, so shouldn't draw much for the "coil". When I close momentary contact 45CR, the drive fault clears, but the drive would fault just as soon as 45CR opened up again. I traced it to relay 44CR. If I disconnect the input from the relay, the drive stays active, but as soon as I touch the wire to the relay again, it faults out. It is like the relay is pulling down the 5v from the drive, making it think that I've given the stop command. Do you think if I put a largish resistor in series with the relay coil I could prevent this by limiting the current? If not, what do I need to do to sense the 5v from the drive without pulling it down? Thanks all! (p.s. the "A" key on my keyboard is squirrely, so please forgive any "a"-related typos.) | Answer quoted from the geckodrive Yahoo group: The ERR/RES pin is 0/5VDC signal in series with a 470 Ohm resistor. Any load applied to this pin must not draw more than 1mA of current. Check your SSR data sheet for the rated 5V control input current. Mariss |
