I have Gecko 320's and am using them with Mach2 on servos. I am confused, the information with the Geckos says you don't need a seperate 5vdc power supply for the encoders on the servos hooked to the Geckos, then later it tells you to hook up a 5vdc supply to the last pin. My encoders should fall under the 50mA encoder limit. What am I missing? Which is it, do I need to hook up a seperate 5vdc to the last pin or ignore it? I really don't want to let the magic smoke out of them. Thanks for the help. Ron |
