There is undocumented switch controlling, charge pump on G540. By default G540 does not care about pin 16, but as it mentioned somewhere in this forum, it is possible to have charge pump on this pin. In the unit I received in April, charge pump works as it should -- only AC on pin 16 turns it on, both logic 0 and 1 are ignored. But the unit I received in January happily turns on with 1 on pin 16. It is quite inconvenient as BIOS sets all pins of the parallel port to one, so if I turn controller power supply before PC is fully loaded (EMC in my case), spindle and flood are on. Is it possible to somehow fix this? Sending controller back is not considered as it is already working 8 hours a day... |

| I know there the switch is, problem with G540(one of the two) is that in position shown on the picture charge-pump switches controller on with constant "1" on pin 16, not the >10khz signal as advertised. If I change switch to other position, controller is on regardless of pin 16 state, so no charge-pump either. |
